Alcide Pancot

About the author:

Alcide Pancot was born on 16 August 1948 in Vittorio Veneto (Treviso) but has been living in Valtellina with his family for many years. He says he has art in his DNA, having inherited the talent from his grandfather, a famous Venetian painter and sculptor in the 1930s. Alcide discovered his painting skills when he was a child and developed them throughout his life, even during his career at the “Guardia di Finanza” (the financial police), by painting on commission. Alcide is also a sports enthusiast. He has been a ski instructor for many years in Aprica and an MTB guide. As a self-taught artist, he painted the murals on the Façade of Aprica tourist office, the paintings of the town hall council chamber, and the series of murals across Aprica’s quarters. These works earned him numerous commissions for paintings in private homes (both indoors and outdoors) in Valtellina and Vallecamonica.
