B.31 Alpini Tour

A mountain/enduro itinerary of medium difficulty, the last part of which takes you along an old military road. The ascent is on paved road, with gradients of around 8-10%. Upon reaching Pian di Gembro, the itinerary continues along the dirt road that runs adjacent to the peat bog. Here breath-taking panoramic views will accompany you until you return to the paved road. The uphill climb resumes until Piscé, where you continue along a dirt road that presents increasingly steep stretches, but you have almost reached Monte Belvedere, where the actual path begins. Start the descent and after fifty metres or so on your right you can admire a beautiful panoramic view of Valtellina. Continue downhill and bear right along the varied path.

Rapid stretches alternate with slower, more tortuous ones. The most difficult stretch was the only way until recently, but an alternative route of medium difficulty has since been added. The final part takes you along an old military road. As soon as you take it, on your right you'll spot the storehouse tunnels dating back to the First World War; you soon reach Liscidini and then return to Aprica along a pavedarmac road.
