Pian di Gembro path
An easy path in the Pian di Gembro Nature Reserve, mostly flat with very little upward elevation difference. The path starts at the beginning of the nature reserve, with parking spaces close to the Ristoro Pian di Gembro.
Leave the road and go past a wooden bridge, then head west and enter the woods.
After an initial slightly uphill stretch, the itinerary continues along the crest of the mountain that separates Aprica from Pian di Gembro, where you can observe Aprica from above, along with the peaks of the eastern Orobien Alps, with Mount Torena towering over the entire range.
Upon reaching "Valcheola", continue left (if you go right, you'll reach the Nature Reserve) towards Piscé, where the path returns towards the point of departure.
Normal equipment for excursions in the snow, snowshoes, poles or shoe chains.
